This photograph is of a local Castlerock business, Pretty Crafty Design, which is situated in the Downhill forest, on the Springbank Road, just opposite the Lion’s Gate at Downhill. Jim and Lesley have entered a young bird into the North Coast Classic race to show support from the local business community. Jim’s father, Ricky Currie, raced pigeons in the Dundonald Club many years ago, so this gives Jim the chance to participate in our wonderful sport. Pretty Crafty design allows the public to experience both wild and tame birds, including peacocks, in a beautiful tranquil setting, where they can enjoy locally manufactured craft, art and excellent home cooked luches, snacks or a good cup of coffee. Jim and Lesley would love to welcome pigeon fanciers into their studio and who knows somebody might even remember Jim’s dad Ricky
