Liberations - Frid/Tue w/e 31/05/11

What a week of weather we have had gale force winds and heavy rain at the start of the week and good enough for a race on Tuesday, the INFC Skibbereen had a massive entry and an excellent race on Tuesday with almost full returns. This weekend we are booked to travel to Talbenny in South Wales, it will be another very difficult call.

We will update when more info is available, race plans and confirmed liberation. Please call back.

The NIPA have changed from Talbenny to Pilmore Beach because of the weather forecast we have at the moment, race marking for this race is on Thursday 26/05/11 for a Friday 27/05/11 liberation, we will hold as long as possible to try and suite the people who are working. We appoligise for the late announcment as we had a long debate regarding this situation.

FRIDAY 27/05/11

The NIPA have liberated in Pilmore Beach at 07.30am the birds all cleared well in blue sky and sunshine. No wind at the race point, at Dublin Airport the wind is coming from 250 degreesWest south west 10 knotts, and the cloud is scattered at 1700ft. PLEASE Fax the Official Result to the NIPA Office ASAP after clock checking, its another Bank Holiday weekend and printing deadlines for the press coverage are earlier. HOMER.

East Coast Federation have a change of plan and will race mark Friday at usual collection times for a race out of Owenahincha on Saturday 28th May.

Munster Fed Mauchline race is cancelled and have no race this weekend. Plans are being made for the race early next week, all weather permitting of course.

Irish SR Fed have cancelled Talbenny but still have a race arranged for Mallow.

East Down Combine birds are in Talbenny (South Wales) - Liberated 12.00, wind SW.

Ulster Federation are in Fermoy - Liberated at 8.45am, wins SW.

ISRF are in Mallow - Liberated at 7.30am.

East Coast Fed (Dublin) are in Owenahincha - Liberated 10.00am.

Liberation at 10.45am, wind at release site is Westerly.

Munster Fed & Eire National - The latest is that marking will take place on Tuesday evening for a Thursday liberation. Larne will still mark on Saturday for Sunday release.

The second race of the Irish Homing Union NFC season will take place on Wednesday 1st June from Barleycove. Marking will be on Tuesday 31st May. In Dublin, marking will take place in the Sarsfield and Northside between 5.30 and 6.30pm. Please call back for confirmed liberation. LIBERATED at 1.15pm.
