LOFT MANAGERS REPORT - 7th September 2011
"Irelands Premier International One Loft Race"

GRAND FINAL
The Grand Finally to this year's Emerald Classic International One Loft Race is scheduled to take place on Sunday hopefully the weather pattern which we are all currently experiencing will settle down over the next couple of days. We are presently in daily contact with our race controller Alan Darragh and a decision will be made before Friday whether to bring this year's event forward to Saturday. Please except our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause but here at the Emerald Classic the birds will always come first.

TRAINING
The birds were trained for the last time this morning and they dealt with the windy conditions and heavy showers splendidly although returning wet, 305 birds being clocked in only 5 minutes, it was our intention to give them two 75km tosses but due to the gale force winds and heavy showers it has not been possible, however the birds are in excellent condition and ready for Sundays 410km fly.

PEDIGREES
"Could I please ask everyone who has not already submitted their pedigrees to do so as soon as possible to avoid exclusion from this year's Grand Final on 11th September"

THE EMERALD CHALLENGE
The newly introduced Declared to Win Nomination was not won this week again and the money (£1125.00) will roll over to next week's Grand Final race.
Pool sheets (which are now available to download on line) have been posted out along with details of our exciting new Emerald Challenge single bird "Declared to Win Nomination" which will accumulate after each race(if not won) until we have a winner providing a substantial bonus to the lucky winner.

BIRDS FOR SALE There are still a limited number of very well bred birds available to purchase from renowned fanciers like Derek Parr Lakeside Lofts who took positions 3rd 8th 11th & 16th in last year's final race winning the 2 bird average with nest mates. Bill Buxton the breeder of HS 1 winner the Natural Breeding Station, and Maurice O Donnell who had several top performances in last year's race to name but a few.
Thank you to all who have supported the Emerald Classic this year again, and hope you enjoy the remaining races leading up to this year's grand final.
