Mid Antrim Combine - Rosscarbery Nat 18/09/11

After a one day delay due to terrible weather conditions the NIPA birds were released in Rosscarbery Co Cork for the final race of the year on Sunday 18th September, liberation was at 11.10am in a North Westerly wind. The top racing lofts dominated the leading places and a very good victory for Alan Darragh who has had a super young bird season in Cullybackey HPS. He won the Cullybackey Centre by 20 minutes timing at 17.11hrs and recording velocity 1234 for the 253 miles. The Ballymena & Dist winner Martin Graham was next best followed by George McDowell the Kells winner who had a good Race Card with 7 birds placed in the Top 20. Milliken & Barkley had 1st Rasharkin & Dist ahead of J & M Milliken, R H Clements was 1st Harryville and J McNaghten & Son with a small team record another 1st in Broughshane & Dist.
