Harryville HPS had a bumper turn-out for the first of the local clubs Open Shows, the judges last Saturday were Tom & Albert Young from Ahoghill and David Young who now races in Muckamore. Visitors enjoyed the best results of the day with Bertie Blair from Ballymena & Dist Best in Show with a bird winning for the 4th time, Russell Bros from Cullybackey Best Opposite Sex and D & R Turkington from Doagh & Dist penning the Best Young Bird. T & K Mawhinney (Donaghcloney) won the Old Bird T/W this one had won at both Blackpool and Dublin, Alwyn Neill (Lurgan) had 1st in the Young Bird T/W and Brian Herbinson (Cullybackey) had the top cards in YB Eye-sign, he was pleased with his new Busschaert introductions. Chairman Robert Service and Show Secretary George Price looked after the presentation of prizes, congratulating all the winners, thanking all the sponsors and also all those who supported the event and helped in any way.
