The late Jim Ross – Glenavy

The pigeon fancy suffered another blow with the death of the popular Jim Ross of Glenavy & Dist. The family have decided that all the birds must be sold and the sale has been arranged for Saturday 28th January. The sale will take place in Glenavy Protestant Hall starting at 2.30pm sharp with the birds on view from 1.00pm.

As most will be award Jim was a very good friend of Jackie Waring, Lisburn & Dist and birds from him will be in the sale. Jims son worked with Glen Buckley and some Buckley birds will be available as well. Just last season Jim purchased six class pigeons from the loft of Tom Gilbertson of Cumbria. The loft is 36 x 8ft but can be split in three parts. With some 70 Lots for sale on the day you can be sure some bargains will be the order of the day, all birds must be sold.
