We had a great time out and about this week taking photos not only that but got a very warm welcome fanciers were delighted to see us anyway on the 9 August the Y/B’s were in Thurles for the second time this season there was speculation before hand that the weather wasn’t going to be very good the tail end of an American hurricane passing by that said Jimmy O Hara called it right the birds were up early and fanciers had a very good returns like a lot of fanciers we have all heard the old saying the birds that are GIFTED to you are better than the birds you will buy just check out the winners from birds that have been GIFTED to fanciers

our own club was won by Stevie and Joe Fegan from the Fegan Mc Adory race team not only did they win but took the first 6 in the club and scored 2 fed positions I think so a big well done lads

Then it was up to see Gerry Toner from the G&G Toner race team Gerry races with his grandson towards the end of last season Gerry was GIFTED 2 Y/B’s from the lofts of his good friends Joe Ward & Son Divis Lofts a Herman Ceusters and a Gaby Vandenabeele it was a Y/B from this pairing that Gerry won with so very well done lads

The father and son race team of Owen & Michael Monaghan were the winners in the andytown club the bird they won with also was last weeks club winner a pied Van De Rhee not only that but the lads also race in the NIPA with the Colin club and the won that club also with a Sootjen x Vandenabeele so a double win for the lads last week well done

The Mc Ilhome & Mc Manus race team won the club and what a season this team is having 5 x 1st club in the O/B’s and 21 prizes with the Y/B’s I have a great visit with Davy and his wife Leaenn and its not the first time and again winning with a bird GIFTED to him by his friend Mark Johnstone very well done everyone

Well this was our second visit within a few weeks to this race team we were at the lofts of J&P Leathem talking to Jim at the lofts hes having some time of it not only could he hardly believe he won the club and Fed a few weeks ago but to win his club and take 2nd Fed in what was a very close result and to do it with the bird they won with in Kildare and this bird again GIFTED to Jim by Gerald & Pat Delaney Oroory Hill Stud

What a visit this was up to the lofts of R&M Mc Manus the race team of Rab and his wife this is their first season racing in the Fortfield and what a season they are having in the Navan race a few week ago 21 members sent 664 birds Rab took the first 9 in the club and last week the 2nd Thurles they took the first 4 in the club and what are they winning with Van-Den-Brandte birds again a very well done
