The Show had great prize money and prizes for every class. Mr and Mrs Peare who won Best in Show won €200 for themselves and Liam & Dylan Whitmore who won Best opposite sex won €100 for their award. On top of this great prize money every class was sponsored with rosettes being awarded for all birds up to fourth place and every class winner was also presented with a bag of corn for themselves.
I must say well done to all the lads involved in running the show as the craic and reception was brilliant. They had free tea & coffee, free sandwitches, free biscuits & chocolates etc downstairs in their Kitchen and also if you wanted you could head upstairs and have some free Budweiser, Bulmers etc and enjoy a good dvd on their telly while waiting on the results. All free for the entrants and guests of the club.
The club is a credit to the lads and the way they have the photos of their members from years gone by and memorabilia from the past all displayed around the club for everyone to see and enjoy is brilliant. We were looking at old style clocks like the Skymasters, La Ledoise etc and many other things like old style ringers, awards and other things that were all used in the past.
