Liberations w/e 09/04/16

This weekend the NIPA and East Down Combine commence the old bird season with planned races from Tullamore, Ulster Fed starts next week. All the lib news will be posted here plus confirmed Liberations.

The N.I.P.A. will race mark as planned on Friday 8th April 2016 for the first old bird race of the 2016 season. Weather reports indicate a release should be possible on Saturday.
The release site will be Mullingar which was decided by the Management Committee on Wednesday evening at a committee meeting. Fred Russell Secretary.

The East Down Combine will hamper as scheduled on Friday night for this weeks race from Tullamore.

Saturday 9th April 2016

Good morning the N.I.P.A are in Mullingar for the first old bird race of the season, I have spoke to the convoyer and the birds are on site. We have a high white cloud and no wind, so I have told him to cut the string and be ready to go. I will look at it again a round 9-00 o’clock and I will release as early as possible as the showers are starting to build in the west and I will update accordingly.

The N.I.P.A have liberated in Mullingar at 9-45am in a light south westerly wind with a high white cloud. In the Dublin area the wind is coming from 240 degrees ( south Westerly ) at 7 knots approxmently 9 to 10 mph cloud height 1200ft broken the temperature is +2 so good luck to all.

No decision has been made on a liberation from Tullamore.

The East Down Combine have liberated in Tullamore at 10.30 wind light south west.
