RPRA Membership Fee up to £10 -

Post by willie reynolds »

The RPRA Membership fee is up from £8 to £10, Club fee is up from £6 to £10. Most are probably not aware of that. HOMER.

From another site worth reading -

I think you will see a re think when the proposals put forward by the outsiders requested to look into the RPRA affairs.

50 years ago I said that council members were on the council too long, I bet the people concerned come to the same conclusion.

I said we should reduce the number of council members and those left should use all the up to date technology to reduce council meetings etc; I bet the people come to the same conclusion.

I said there was too many regions, the same applies.

I said from day one that the Raptor Alliance was a waste of time and told the then RPRA Manger so, and suggested that we should test our case in court to establish our present rights.

Even were all the suggestions put forward in the proposed new Laws they would have no benifit to the fanciers whose pigeons are continually attacked.

One of the main problems is that those who have been influencing all our affairs, some for over 50 years, are not grass root fanciers and are completely out of touch with all the basics that would improve matters for the majority.

The outlook I put in the BHW some weeks ago.

As for £10 for subscriptions, it is well worth that to confirm the ownership of your pigeons irrespective of any other consideration.

Of course one could not be a member of the RPRA and not pay a fee, what then would you do regarding the actual ownership of your birds?.

No rings, no rules, no racing of account.

Whilst spending hundreds of pounds in some cases proping up the bar, one might just consider just what is involved in the running of the RPRA.

I am well aware it is run by a load of self important and self opinionated people and they have not a clue about anything of any consequence but your birds ownership is still assured, and you can still race your pigeons, albeit under archaic rules, but that is the fault of the membership, you vote these people in.

The whole matter needs sorting pout from start to finish, before the sport is finished.

You cannot consider any matter without knowing the facts, and the most important fact to consider at the moment is the actual present membership.

How many actual members are there who pay RPRA subs.

How many of these actually have a loft and race their pigeons.

How many fanciers are over 80,70,60 50,40 30 20, 10.

These numbers could be easily obtained by means of a form at the time of paying subs.

Unless one is aware of the above it is impossible to consider any other future aspect of the sport, you would be floundering in the dark, just as the present lot are doing.

If one thinks money is being wasted then do something about it, moaning is just not an option that has anything other than giving one a headache.

Regards Foxtrot
