Obituary Bill McClure - Kells & District

I got the sad news over the weekend that Bill McClure who raced with Kells & District had passed away, he was a former Chairman of the club. A small team man he had quality birds for the distance, on one occasion many years back he came so close to winning the Kings Cup. He had the first bird home in the North Sect but was beat by Tommy Speers in Dublin. The older generation racing in Mid Antrim enjoyed distance racing and they scored quite a bit of success. His years were catching up with him and his small collection of birds I believe were shared among friends just a few short years ago. Condolences to the family circle at this very sad time.
