RACE MARKING AND COLLECTION TIMES.
Bude pigeons have to be race marked at your own club and transported to your nearest collection point. The reason for this is that the boat we have to catch is around 2:45am on Friday morning, the boat we use for Talbenny is around 8:am Friday morning. It is impossible to do a club collection transfer crates from seven lorries down to three and make the sailing time of 2:45.
Travelling this way your birds are on site for around 4:00pm Friday. They can be rested fed and watered for a liberation early Saturday morning. If we have to use the Rosslaire boat your pigeons have to be fed and watered around Bristol area and driven on to their destination arriving on site around 11:00pm. This route Is not suitable for Bude and Penzance liberations.
Birds will be collected at the following Collection points. Please do your utmost to be ready for collection as any holdup will cause serious problems.
Coalisland 6:00pm Loughgall 6:30pm Laurelvale 6:50 pm Portadown 7:15 pm Lurgan 7:45pm
Lisburn 8:15pm Dromore 8:45 all lorries will use Dromore for their Hub and move crates onto the lorries going onto the race point Banbridge 10.00pm Millvale 10.30pm Newry 11:00am Dundalk 11:30pm
