RPRA Directive re Birdage

The RPRA have issued a directive regarding the number of birds permitted in a crate for transportation as per rule 127.

The total floor space in our crates is 949.63 sq inches - 1 Night in a crate all pigeons must have 44 square inches each - 2 Nights in a crate they must have 52 square inches each.
more than 2 Nights ie France 60 square inches each therefore

Inland no more than 21 birds per crate, on the Cross Channel 18 birds maximum per crate, and France 14 birds - these figures INCLUDE having your own crates during the YB Season - Members should remember to have all their race birds wing stamped, or a phone number ring, or an ETS phone sticker on you birds.

NIPA start the season this Saturday with a race from Tullamore, ECF (Dublin) start at Tramore.

For the second week East Down Combine will move to Tullamore, ISRF for the second week will again be in Thurles.

Ulster Federation start at Kildare.

Ulster Federation - Have released in KILDARE at 8.45am. South west wind - Good luck everyone.

12,000 birds will be released from Thurles at 9.30am ISRF best of luck to everyone.

EDC have released at 9.30am in Tullamore, wind Lt South.

The NIPA have released at 10.00am in Tullamore in a light southerly with the wind to strengthen en route.

East coast fed out at 9.30.
