Best bird timed at the weekend race from Mullingar was in Kells & District, C & D Jackson were winning for the second week timing the winner at 1.08pm following liberation at 11.00am, super racing. Local lofts performed well another good bird timed by J & M Milliken in Rasharkin & District recording velocity 1367 for 1st MAC. In Ballymena the best birds were timed in Harryville, Keith Kernohan 1st & 2nd and Roy Clements 3rd with the early bird in Slane last weekend. In Ballymena & Dist Blair & Rankin had the Card of the Day six birds in the top seven including 1st & 2nd.

Around Antrim it was a close finish in Muckamore HPS just a yard between Alan Steele doing velocity 1364 for his first win and David Young who just missed out. Two new winners in two weeks, big competition here! Close finish as well in New Antrim Amalgamated Charlie McManus two birds doing 1339 followed by Ken Wilkinson & Son. During the week at the RPRA One Loft Race the school entry for K Wilkinson was 2nd great success for the consistent Blackmountain Boy.

Two wins from 2 races first race with a Soontjen second with a Lambrecht both bred by Derek Parr of Portadown. From Mullingar the loft timed at 13.08hrs flying 99 miles to record velocity 1370, just ahead of Surgenor Bros who filled the card.

J & M Milliken win with a Lambrecht the sire was purchased in Blackpool and the dam is a daughter of Dixon's Heartbreaker.

Keith Kernohan had the top two birds into his lofts at Ballykeel, the winner a Blue Pied cock was Vermeerbergen a son of Northern Wonder. His two arrivals were timed at 13. 12hrs flying 102 miles, Roy Clements was 3rd and 4th.

Committee Announcement - The NIPA Committee wish to bring the following to your attention.
All NIPA club results MUST be compiled in your clubrooms under NO circumstances are they to be made up at home.
All fanciers MUST ensure that all birds entered in any NIPA race MUST be either wing stamped or carry a telephone ring marker failure to comply will mean disqualification and or possible suspension.
When race marking the complete ring number MUST be called out eg GB18W-12345. At NO time must split Life Rings be assigned.
When clubs are transporting club birds to centres or collection points to meet transporters they MUST at all times be accompanied by 5 persons and the lid seal numbers be recorded and handed over to transporter driver.
The committee would like it to be known that they unanimously complimented the transport manager on his decision to take the lorries off the road on Sat 28th July due to the torrential downpours .
Ref NIPA Rule 35 - Any member making malicious statements or using social media regarding the NIPA its officials/committee members or club member and subsequently found to be incorrect, shall be brought before the committee and if found to be guilty of such practices shall be suspended for a period of time as determined by the committee.
I would like to congratulate the chairman and assistant secretary on their recent performances in the RPRA one loft race with their school entries Mr Wilkinson was 2nd Open and 1st in the schools and Mr McAvoy was 58th open and 2nd schools and we hope their success continues.
Please note that your 1st transport payment is due the weekend of 18th August Gowran Park please ensure that it is ready for collection by the transporter on basketing night.

Going forward into 2024 the Ballymena based MAC has the following clubs in membership.Ballymena & District, Ahoghill Flying Club, Rasharkin & Dist, Randalstown HPS,Kells & District, Cullybackey HPS, Broughshane & District and Harryville HPS.. New officials are Chairman Robin Service from Ballymena & District and Secretary Willie Reynolds from Ballymena & District. President is Danny Dixon. Mervyn Eagleson is PO. All the latest news and results will be listed here, including Champions League and OB & YB Knock-out. Fees for 2024 are £5.00 for Clubs which includes all the members.
