JOURNEY’S END - N.I.P.A NOTES – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

Up next on the N.I.P.A. Youngbird race programme was the first full convoy liberation. After a
successful two Area Liberations from Kilbeggan it was time for the Sections to combine for a race
further down the country in Roscrea in in Co. Tipperary. A Total of 481 members of the Mighty
N.I.P.A. sent a total of 16,479 Birds to Roscrea. On Saturday Morning the 10 th of August the N.I.P.A.
liberated at 8:45AM in a South West Wind.

‘JUSTICE’ FOR CIARAN MCVEIGH IN THE MIGHTY N.I.P.A.

The Winning Bird from the third Youngbird Race of the Season belongs to Ciaran McVeigh of Eastway
H.P.S in Section C.
Ciaran’s Open Winner GB24 B 68925 is naming him ‘Justice’ the most famous NIPA winner in years.
His is grandfather is a direct son of ‘Olympic Poot’ who was the father to his 2nd Open Fermoy
Winner in June of this Old Bird Season when Ciaran Won 1st and 2nd Open NIPA Fermoy. ‘Justice’
grandmother is a daughter of ‘Blackpool Kittel’ who is responsible for several good pigeons for
Ciaran including a son off her who has won 4 x 1st prizes and 3 x 2nd prizes and also bred a daughter
with 2 x 1st prizes in the Ulster Federation that Ciaran has in his arsenal. Ciaran bred a couple for his
stock of them and that's the father of ‘Justice’ The mother is a Luc Vervoort hen from Kevin and
Kristopher Rooney’s good red racing hen who is a 1 st Open Winner herself and she has also bred
open winners so as of now she's now grandmother to a 1 st Open Winner. A Super Result from Ciaran
who put his heart and soul into his birds all year round from having the best bloodlines in the stock
loft to putting in the hard graft in training for racing a well deserved winner. Ciaran would like to
thank everyone for the kind messages and phone calls on his Open Win.
Many Congratulaions to 2 nd Open M. McManus of Glen H.P.S. in Section D
Also, Congratulations to 3 rd Open Owen Markey of Ballyholland H.P.S. in Section G
Many Congratulations to Ciaran McVeigh on claiming 1 st N.I.P.A. Open from Roscrea 1 from 16,479

East Antrim Amalgamation
Roscrea YB
10/8/24
62 members sent 1867 pigeons
Pools £160
Well, the EAA & NIPA were in Roscrea for the 3rd yb race of the season, after the Ulster fed had a
great race on Fri it seemed Saturday would be of similar pace. With a strong west south west wind
the birds were liberated at 8.45am (Section H going earlier)
I am pleased to announce yet another open winner within the Amalgamation this time the honour
falls to Ciaran McVeigh Son & Daughter. Without doubt one of the most progressive lofts in the
country in every way. The winning pigeon shall be named JUSTICE and rightly so! His grandfather is a
direct son of Olympic Poot who was the father to Ciaran’s 2nd open Fermoy when he was 1st and
2nd open and the grandmother is a daughter of Blackpool Kittel who is responsible for several good
pigeons for Ciaran including a son who had 4/1st prizes and 3/2nd prize and also bred a daughter
with 2 /1st prizes in the Ulster federation that he owns. Ciaran bred a couple for stock off them and
that's the father, the mother is a Luc Vervoort hen from Kevin and Kristopher Rooney’s good red
racing hen who has won the open herself and she's bred open winners so she's now grandmother to
an open winner.
Simply fantastic from top to bottom, I spoke to Ciaran on the phone and the run down here gave me
on his journey with the pigeons to date is one of out and out dedication, hard work gets results. The
big man is absolutely delighted and asked me to pass on his thanks to everyone for the messages
and support!
I would like once again to congratulate Ciaran and his family on their super win!
From all At the EAA Well done!
Pools winners are in the pictures well done to you guys!!
