The race advisors in consultation with Met Eireann will check weather reports tomorrow (Monday) for Friday 13th and Saturday 14th September and we will update tomorrow evening with further information.

NIPA - This week`s Roscrea comeback has been cancelled, please inform your members and request they forward their 3 week payment to me by return, Also inform them that they must have submitted all outstanding claims for awards within 7 Days of Skibbereen being flown

The NIPA will , weather permitting , be only racing from Skibbereen for the YB inland National this week , due to a lack of interest the Roscrea Comeback it has been cancelled . Would all fanciers wishing to claim for any YB / average awards please do so within 7 days of Skibbereen.Also this week is your final transport payments ( maximum of 3 weeks )would all clubs ensure that these are on the Transporter on the night of race marking on a separate cheque to the National in their own envelope please.

At present Friday looks uncertain due to rain across Ireland, but we will check an up to date forecast on Tuesday.

Race marking will take place on Wednesday 11th September 2024 for a possible release on Friday.

Weather reports from Met Eireann today (Tuesday) for Friday. Penzance area clear of rain and wind direction south westerly 10 to 15 kilometres which will strengthen and turn southerly as the day progresses. Cloudier in Ireland during the afternoon with rain coming in from the North West in the evening. Saturday rain and mist will persist for much of the day over Ireland.

The race controller is at the moment looking at a possible release in Skibbereen on Friday with basketing taking place on Thursday. The weather reports for Saturday and Sunday are not favourable , we will update the website tomorrow Wednesday with any further information.

The NIPA will race mark tomorrow Thursday for a possible release in Skibbereen on Friday, collection times are onsite in an earlier post.

Grand National Penzance Young Bird Race Friday 13th September 2024. - Race Sponsored by Natural Grains.

181 members have entered 1084 pigeons and are competing for £11,249.00 in pools and prize money.

The pigeons have been released at 08.30am in calm conditions at the release site the wind direction is expected to be southerly on route.

Hours of darkness are 20:20 to 06:50. Our next update will be this evening. Trevor Topping Secretary INFC.

The NIPA have due to the unavailability of the release site in Skibbereen have had to relocate to Dunmanway. A liberation in Skibbereen would only have been possible early as the yard has an agricultural sale taking place today. We will update the site around 9am.

The race controller has said a liberation looks likely around 10.00am we will update when confirmation is received.
NIPA released in Dunmanway at 10.00am in a lt southerly wind.

Irish SR Fed intend to liberate in Dunmanway 1t 9.30am. 3,000 ISRF birds were liberated in Dunmanway at 9.30am in a light south wind. Mick.
