Final race 2024 Roscrea -

Post by willie reynolds »

JOURNEY’S END - N.I.P.A NOTES – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

Up next was the final Race for the Mighty N.I.P.A. Members are limited to a 20 Bird Limit. A total of
248 Members sent 2,719 Birds to Dunmanway in County Cork for the last Race of the 2024 N.I.P.A.
Racing Calendar. The Birds were liberated at 10AM in a Light Southerly Wind.
RUSSELL BROTHERS TOP THE INLAND YOUNGBIRD NATIONAL

The Winning Bird from the Young Bird Inland National Race belongs to Russell Bros of Dromara H.P.S
in Section D.
The Russell Bros ended up finding out in the early hours of the morning that they'd won the open
with their Cheq pied hen.
This Cheq pied hen was sent after finishing second club last weekend and had just started to try and
pair up, to an already paired cock. She is out of a first time stock hen, who is out of their top middle
distance racing pair. With the G/dam being a very clear section winner from Bude and multiple other
positions and the G/sire being a meritorious award winner. This means the YB National winner from
Dunmanaway and their OB Derby winner from St Malo share the same g/sire in slightly different
races. The sire is a Sootjen pigeon bought in years ago who has bred multiple winners for the
partnership.
Many Congratulations to Russell Bros on claiming 1 st N.I.P.A. National from the Dunmanway Young
Bird Inland National.
And Many Congratulations to 2 nd National Davy McElhone of Eastway H.P.S. in Section C.
Also, Congratulations to 3 rd National Mr & Mrs G. Delaney of Dromore H.P.S. in Section D.
