Race week number 5 brought us to the new race point of Grenagh, north Co.Cork.
This race point was identified and researched by good friend Ger O Sullivan, so thank you to him for
his time & effort on that!
With the complete NIPA convoy lined up in one straight row the doors were dropped and birds
released at 8.30 am.
It’s fair to say everyone knew there lay ahead a testing race with warm temperatures & headwinds,
that said visibility was excellent!
Topping the EAA this week and continuing their electric start to the season is K&D Hagans. The 2
year old blue cock was 2nd club 5th sec c the previous week but hit the afterburners this week to
take 1st EAA 1st section c & 42nd open NIPA!
After last years exploits and now recent results they really have put millbrook on the map, and I get
the feeling there’s plenty in the tank!
Had a good chat with Danny on Wednesday night at the Carrick centre & like his pigeons he was in
top form!
From all at the EAA well done to Kate,Danny & Bobby!
Best of luck to all competing in the Derby from Dunmanway !
EAA press officer Jonny Baxter
