Montage 2nd Dale winners
The Ulster Federation made the journey to Dale for their second channel race of the season, with 64 members sending 975 birds.
Bird went at 9.45am in a South westerly wind.
Conditions produced a very close finish at the top of the result sheet, with only fractions separating the leading pigeons.
Taking top honours and 1st Federation is A&R Milliken of the Lagan Valley club with a winning velocity of 1805.516. Ryan timed a yearling cock bred from his dad's Soontjen cock when paired to a gifted hen from Spence Bros. The hen's grandmother was a NIPA Young Bird Derby winner, while her sire was an Ulster Federation winner from Talbenny.
2nd Federation goes to J Ward & Son of Fortfield on 1804.473. Their leading pigeon is a three-year-old blue pied hen that previously won from Bude last season. She is a daughter of Sean Og, a double Federation winner, when paired to a daughter of New Young Kittel from John Angwin.
3rd Federation is again J Ward & Son, this time with a three-year-old blue hen recording 1804.163. A great-granddaughter of the renowned Our Bandit Cock, she is a daughter of Aoife, a 1st Federation winner, when paired to a Gary Cox Heremans-Ceusters pigeon.
4th Federation is G Smyth of Fortfield on 1803.964, timing a two-year-old chequer cock to complete a strong showing for the Fortfield club.
Congratulations to all fanciers who timed well from what proved to be a competitive Dale race.
