LIBERATIONS - Saturday 17/07/10

Post by willie reynolds »

By all accounts Saturday is going to be another difficult day and a very strong Westerly wind forecast is not helping, not just the ideal conditions for youngsters just starting. A very hard job for those making decisions.

NIPA cancelled racing last weekend, a decision about racing this weekend is due on Thursday as usual.
RACE MARKING AS NORMAL FOR NIPA on Friday evening for a possible Sat morning release in Tullamore. Two liberations as per the Race Booklet Sect B, C, Top A & H together and the other Sect D, E, F, G, Bottom A together. Forecast is reasonable for Sat morning with South wind. Showers across NI on Sat and liberation not expected before NOON. Further delay due to rain between Dublin & Tullamore, release expected between 1.00pm and 2.00pm. CONFIRMED LIB at 1.45pm for Sect B, C, Top A & H wind WSW, blue sky, sunshine and good visibility. Second release due between 2 and 2.15. CONFIRMED LIB at 2.15pm for Sect DEFG & Bottom A wind decreasing but some showers around.

Ulster Federation return to Navan, having had a race from the same point last Sunday.
LIBERATION in Navan at 12.45pm, wind WSW.

East Down Combine start with Navan, released at 12.15pm.

Irish SR Federation return to Thurles following the race from the same point last Sunday. LIBERATION in Thurles at 9.00am.

Munster Federation Confirmed Liberation in Tullamore at 7.05am.

East Coast Federation liberated in Tramore at 9.30am.

More news will be added as we get it, and then of course confirmed liberations.

PLEASE NOTE

For the young bird racing it would be very helpful if all clubs could list their results on their own club site at http://www.pigeonnetwork.com

We have arrangements to lift all results placed here to be used in the general publicity, time is a massive factor at present and it’s getting almost impossible to deal with all calls, e-mails, fax, mobile phone etc, etc. Another problem is catching late results, they really do need to be placed by Sunday night at the latest, all the news coverage and results has to be ready by first thing Monday. Most clubs are already up and running, we can help the remainder to get started, and this is the easy way to have the result listed and be available for general publicity.
