National winning season for Ballymoney HPS –
Ballymoney HPS one of the largest clubs competing in the NIPA Section B and many lofts also racing with the INFC continue to perform at the highest level, since racing in the NIPA changed to centre of Ireland race points members have been ever present at the top of the results up to and including 1st Section and 1st Open NIPA and 1st Open INFC. Some top results in the last racing season of 2024 included
William Rodgers 60th in Open 3rd section B from Plougastel OB National (France), James Walker was 70th Open, 54th North Section in the Kings Cup. With the INFC James won the the Duddy Exttreme Distance Trophy from St Allouestre furthest flying member in the Kings Cup flying 523 miles on velocity 719ypm. Darwin Stuart 1st Open in the young bird 5 Bird Championship and also 1st Open from Fermoy. D & H Stuart were to win the Robin Duddy Trophy for furthest flying member in then Blue Riband YB Nat Penzance finishing 24th Open INFC flying 346 miles doing velocity 1469ypm. The D & H Stuart team also won a Merit Award with their Blue hen 99th Open in the KNGS Cup 2023 and 202nd Open in 2024. Danny Dixon Highest Prize winner in Ballymoney HPS for 32 years in a row. Also in the photo is the trophy I won for young bird Grand National from Penzance.
