The NIPA Sennen Cove Classic turned out the biggest test to date, it was flown on its own for the first time and early in the cross channel season. Entry was better than expected and overall winner was Joe Brown of Blackwatertown who was a recent winner of the INFC Yearling National.

Rosscarbery in Co Cork was the decision of the NIPA Committee for the race in Ireland on the same day as the OB Classic, favourite win 1st Open is the loft of P & J Boal from Dromore and I hear this same bird won 1st Open earlier in the year from Corrin with 26,000 birds competing. P & J Boal – Dromore – 1st Open NIPA Rosscarbery winners. Their latest top performer is GB13D 02033 Blue hen, Willy Van Herck, raced on widowhood. Sire: Young Bogaerts, one of their best racing cocks, 4th open and 7th open NIPA, a section winner. The N.I.P.A. are in Sennen Cove and the weather there is lovely blue skies with a breeze, I have held over because of strong winds in Talbenny. The Rosscarbery birds I will continue to monitor the weather and will up date accordingly.
The N.I.P.A. have held over in Rosscarbery due to strong winds , the wind has to come round into the north west later in the after noon, these winds will not recede till later which will be to late for a liberation ,so I have spoken to the weather meteorologist and she assures me that the wind will not be a problem tomorrow.
EDC Pilmore Classic – Weather conditions are unsuitable at present for a liberation from Pilmore Beach next update will be at 11.00am.
Weather conditions are improving but still not suitable for a liberation from Pilmore Beach next update will be at 1.00pm. The East Down Combine have held over in Pilmore Beach.

The NIPA committee have by a majority vote decided to race the comeback race this week from Rosscarbery

The East Down Combine Weather Committee have decided to delay Hampering until Friday night for a Sunday race from Talbenny.
