- Penzance Double for “Classic 3.57” –
At the weekend the NIPA had the favourite Penzance with the OB Classic flown in duplicate, many congratulations to Allan McDonald of Portadown & Drumcree who topped the Mighty NIPA in both races. Allan is a former Kings Cup winner and past Secretary of the Irish Nat FC.

THE NESTMATE OF 3-57 WAS 1ST CLUB FROM MALLOW THIS YEAR.
ALLAN HAD 5 BIRDS ON THE DAY AND 2 NEXT DAY. “CLASSIC 3-57 (TIMED AT 357) WAS IN HIS 8TH RACE AND HAD FLOWN THE YEARLING NATIONAL SENNEN COVE JUST 10 DAYS EARLIER FLYING FOR 7 HRS AND WAS 9TH CLUB. FEEDING IS FRAZER PETIT WITH ADDED VERESELE-LAGA SUPER STAR PLUS. Frazer supplements are used especially flax oil on the corn. Garlic bulbs are in the water at all times and he will treat for canker every 2 or 3 weeks.
HE BELIEVES THE STRONG COMPETITION IN THE PORTADOWN & DRUMCREE CLUB HAS IMPROVED THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MEMBERS WHO HAVE THIS YEAR WON 55 SECTION POSITIONS AND 45 OPEN POSITIONS. HE WISHES TO THANK ALL MEMBERS AND FRIENDS FOR THE WHOLEHEARTED CONGRATULATIONS ON HIS DOUBLE OPEN WIN. HE CONGRATULATES THE RUNNERS UP Aiden Fitzpatrick and Alex Hyde. Allan knows what it is to be 2nd and he is sure that this young couple, only in the sport 2 years, will be at the top in the near future.
