For the start of the young bird season the NIPA as usual had a series of Area Liberations, by all accounts it was a far from perfect start and a lot of birds missing. Birds were released in Navan, Mullingar and Tullamore on Saturday 21st A large number of members were not ready for the opening race, it’s the same every season, maybe this time they were lucky. A lot of complaints about the possibility of clashing hence the reason we were looking for just a top and bottom divide for one Area Lib each. At the weekend we had 10 separate liberations for Northern Ireland birds, is that part of the problem?
