East Antrim lofts dominated the weekend race from Tullamore in County Offaly, the NIPA had released over 21,000 birds in the first mass liberation following two weeks of Area Liberations. The big Larne & District had over 1,000 birds competing and the overall winner recording velocity 2050ypm for Adrian Beggs and Marie Hall. Next best was T Longman of the Ligoniel & Dist doing velocity 2045 followed by Colin Campbell & Son of Larne & Dist.

Please NOTE: NIPA General Rule 19. The NIPA will enforce the RPRA Rule No. 121 on any member found not to be Wing Stamping their pigeons or their pigeons not carrying name and address rings.
RPRA Rule 121 – Wing Stamping/Personal Ring.
During the racing season, each member must ensure that every pigeon raced or trained by him is either wing stamped on at least three flights or carrying a ring, in either case clearly showing the name and address of the owner or the telephone number of a person or Organization to whom the pigeon should be reported if it becomes a stray. Any pigeon not so rung or wing stamped will not be accepted for racing under any circumstances whatsoever and Marking Committees must ensure that this is strictly adhered to. Any case of non-compliance may, after investigation by the Local Region Committee, entail the suspension of the relevant member.
